The HELL OF THE WEST is excited to announce a new date to celebrate 35 years of our event.

7-8 March 2026

We’ve carefully chosen a new date to avoid conflicts with other triathlon events and local activities. We want you to have the chance to compete in as many events as possible.

We understand that date changes might be inconvenient, but our shift to 7-8 March ensures HOTW continues delivering the exceptional triathlon experience you’ve enjoyed since 1989.

The introduction of the Gold Coast T100 on the 21st – 22nd March 2026 has led us to move the HOTW two weeks earlier. This allows the opportunity for competitors, vendors, contractors, and volunteers to attend both events.

While it is disappointing to have to move the HOTW from our favoured date we see it as positive to have an event like the T100 at the Gold Coast. Being massive triathlon fans we too are excited to see the worlds best middle distance athletes compete live, and hope the event brings increased interest and support for everyone involved in the sport of triathlon.
